Peter qualified as a physiotherapist in 2017, having previously gained a degree in anatomical science. Having started his career in the NHS he gained experience in a variety of areas of physiotherapy including critical care, neuro-rehabilitation, and trauma orthopaedics before specialising in musculoskeletal physiotherapy.

Outside of work Peter has a keen interest in most sports, regularly playing football and tennis. He is also a keen runner having completed both Edinburgh and Manchester Marathon in recent years.

Professional Sports Physiotherapy

Peter has experience working with high level athletes following his time as physiotherapist at professional rugby union outfit sale sharks and more recently Cheshire Cricket.

Whilst in Lancashire he worked with Stockport Grammar School – a leading private school in Manchester – providing physiotherapy to all age groups from U10s – U18s in a variety of sports including, football, cricket, rugby, netball and hockey. Peter has a keen interest in most sports and has previously gained experience working as lead physiotherapist for professional rugby league club Hunslet RLFC.

This has enabled Peter to develop key assessment skills and high-level return to play rehabilitation programs, workload management and injury prevention knowledge.

Peter’s Philosophy

Peter has a keen interest in the rehabilitation of sporting injuries and strives to return his patients to full fitness as quickly as possible while also ensuring future injuries are prevented. He is also passionate in providing holistic treatment to his patients, looking at nutritional management, strength and conditioning, mental health and injury prevention to aid in long-term recovery.

Peter qualified in 2017 from Manchester metropolitan university gaining a BSc (Hons) in physiotherapy having already previously gained a Bsc Hons degree in anatomy from the University of Dundee. He started working in the NHS gaining experience in a variety of specialities including critical care, neurorehabilitation, and trauma orthopaedics before specialising in musculoskeletal and sporting injuries. Peter has also worked as physiotherapist at Stockport grammar school a leading private school in Manchester where he provided physiotherapy to all age groups from U10s – U18s in a variety of sports including, football, rugby, netball, hockey and cricket.
