Connor’s passion for activity led him to studying Sport and Exercise Science, which he then advanced into a post-graduate in Physiotherapy. His obsession with progress and creativity helps him excel in helping others achieve their goals through bespoke programming, symptom management, and lifestyle changes. Connor believes that health can be measured by the ability to self-manage, and therefore ensures people understand WHY and not just what their journey should involve to get back to functional baseline and beyond.
Connor has a passion for indoor climbing and a enjoys utilising the facilities we have at a number of the climbing centres we have in Edinburgh. He also balances this with his own gym program specifically targeting his upper and lower body mobility and strength to enhance his climbing technique. In his free time, he prioritises making adventurous memories with his family and friends.
From day one of sustaining an injury to returning to activity, Connor has extensive experience in treating traumas, fractures, sprains, strains and many other complex sports injuries. Whilst also experienced in treating common field and endurance sports, Connor goes above and beyond to research and understand the requirements of each person’s physical demands for optimal outcomes.
His personal immersion in many creative and extreme sporting avenues, from professional street dance, climbing to weightlifting and acrobatics, supports Connor’s diverse aptitude for creatively tailoring rehab specificity, whilst still applying favourable biomechanics and evidenced based recovery strategies.
After Connor’s Master’s degree he practiced in the NHS for over 2 years where he completed all core physiotherapy rotations including medical & orthopaedic wards, community, and musculoskeletal services in adults and paediatrics. During his time in orthopaedics, his team achieved the Scottish Golden Hip award. He also cherishes the impact his community classes had on people with respiratory and cardiac conditions. Connor’s competence in the assessment and treatment of musculoskeletal and neurological conditions secured him a specialist title. His passion for teaching has supported many physio students and led to the provision of regular workshops and CPD training in his expert areas including strength and conditioning and enhanced surgical recoveries. His strong initiative led to creating and leading classes for common musculoskeletal injuries such as the “Back on Track” & “Reach Recovery” within NHS Grampian. More recently, his work in private physiotherapy has allowed him to supports teams post-surgical pathways in the private sector and utilise more time and resources to ensure the best outcomes of those he assists.
