Sally Phimister | Chartered Physiotherapist

Sally has had over 15 years experience in the fitness and health industry. Following an enjoyable time training as a professional dancer, she went on to become a Personal Trainer and Sports Therapist. This unique blend of knowledge allowed her to work with the circus for a period of time. She went onto completing  her BSc Hons Degree in Physiotherapy in 2016 and since then, she has been working with people with multiple Musculoskeletal.  

 

Sally’s Physiotherapy Philosophy

Sally is very passionate about helping people, whether it is discovering the root cause of a re-occurring issue, or educating and advising about preventive measures.Sally uses manual therapy techniques ( massage, mobilisations, manipulations) to help relieve pain. Following this she takes great pride in empowering her patients, providing preventative approaches which includes education, exercise advice and self-management techniques. 

 

Sports Physiotherapy + Dance Experience

Before becoming a physiotherapist, Sally worked in roles travelling the world working on Cruise ships, tour theatre companies and the circus. During this time she also gained invaluable experience and qualifications through the New York City Ballet education department. Following her return to the UK she used these skills to teach Ballet Workout classes. 

Sally has enjoyed working within sports physiotherapy having worked within various rugby clubs, Scottish League Football teams, as well as with Basketball Scotland.
